From the book, "Glimpse after Glimpse." A compilation of daily reflections on living and dying by a Tibetan Llama. Here is the daily reflection for 28 June.
“Reflect on this: The realization of impermanence is paradoxically the only thing we can hold on to, perhaps our only lasting possession. It is like the sky, or the earth. No matter how much everything around us may change or collapse, they endure.
Say we go through a shattering emotional crisis .our whole life seems to be disintegrating...our husband or wife suddenly leaves without warning. The earth is still there; the sky is still there. Of course, even the earth trembles now and again, just to remind us that we cannot take anything for granted....”
Of course, he forgot to mention that Richard Gordon is still there. Wonderful thoughts, Scott R. San Diego

| “No quickie weddings at the Elvis Drive-Through Chapel for us...we want to remain married so please move forward with the paperwork to rescind the court order...and let us know what else we need to do or sign.
With our thanks for your wise counsel and good humor throughout this most interesting journey”

| “Well, it's been over eighteen months since I have been on my own, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the support you provided me, during a very trying time in my life. I feel so very blessed in all that I have learned and experienced these past several years.
Thank you for taking the time and effort with me which is allowing me to rebuild confidence in life.” Kim, Spring Valley | |
| "I want to thank you for your kind, gentle and reassuring manner in talking with me this afternoon. I appreciate it more than you know. You have a skill at making people comfortable, and I'm sure that is why you are successful in your practice, as you should be. I look forward to meeting you in person. Thank you again for your guidance and making me feel so safe."

| I just wanted to take a few moments and thank you for the highly expert and efficient legal service that you provided for Virginia and myself. We were very satisfied with not only your legal expertise but personally as well. I wish that the encounter had been under better circumstances. Unfortunately divorce can be part of the life experience.
I expect that Ginny and I will remain good friends.
Again, thank you. | | | | |
